Twitter was forced to hire an Indian agent!
Twitter was forced to hire one of its agents from India. Peter Zatko, the former security chief of the company, made such a sensational complaint. However, Twitter dismissed Peter's allegations. However, Peter complained about this to the US authorities.
The complainant, a former Twitter official, claimed that Indian agents working at Twitter could have monitored the company's technology without hindrance. That agent had the freedom to roam freely within Twitter's system.
American media Washington Post and CNN reports claimed that the Indian agent got the job in the company with the consent of Twitter's top officials. Parag Agarwal, of Indian origin, is claimed to have played a key role in providing employment to the Indian agent.
Parag, meanwhile, has previously been accused of lying to shareholders about security flaws in the social media platform.
However, not only India, but also in Nigeria and Russia, Twitter was under pressure from the local government. Peter alleges that India, Nigeria and Russia forced Twitter to employ "agents" of their choice.
According to Peter, knowingly employing Indian agents on Twitter means compromising the security of users' data.
Following Peter's complaint, a Twitter official told the media, "Twitter fired Peter Zatko from his senior executive role in January 2022 for poor performance." A misrepresentation is being made about our privacy and data security. It is totally inconsistent and bogus. This claim lacks important context. This charge is opportunistic. The allegations are made to draw attention to Twitter's customers and shareholders and harm the company. Security and privacy have long been Twitter's priorities. And this matter will continue.'
